St. Barnabas Hospital opens new Infusion Center

THE BRONX - A new center in The Bronx will help treat even more patients with diseases like cancer and multiple sclerosis.

Saint Barnabas Hospital just opened its new Infusion Center. It serves double the number of patients compared to the old center across the street. The center has 10 chairs where people get IV treatment for a variety of illnesses. It also has its own lab and pharmacy.

Staffers say the old center served mostly patients getting chemotherapy.
