WOODLAWN - St. Patrick's Day celebrants were out in full force Friday along Katonah Avenue in Woodlawn.

Many of the locals told News 12 that their St. Patrick's Day celebration begins in Manhattan for the parade and then heads back to the Bronx for corned beef and cabbage.

One butcher told News 12 that they cured about 40,000 pounds of corned beef and about 50,000 pounds of sausages and rashers.

A bartender joked to News 12 that Woodlawn might as well be Ireland's 33rd county.
