ALBANY - (AP) - New York's Legislature plans to pass aclothing tax exemption, delay some business tax credits, expand avideo gambling game in bars and take other measures to raiserevenue to pay for and close a state budget that's nearly threemonths overdue. The revenue bill will temporarily end the exemption to thestate's 4 percent sales tax on clothing costing $110 or lessbeginning Oct. 1. The bill also expands the Quick Draw game,reduces some tax credits and reductions, while giving Hollywood abigger tax break to shoot in New York. The bill would close the budget pending any override to Gov.David Paterson's promised vetoes. The Legislature is expected to adopt the bill Thursday morning,possibly shortly after midnight Wednesday night to hasten the endof a long 2010 session.
