Stolen NYPD vehicle found at LaGuardia Airport

NEW YORK - (AP) - A New York City police officer has beensuspended after his unattended department sport utility vehicle wasstolen from a Bronx street and was found about 11 miles away atLaGuardia Airport.

Police say an officer with the Port Authority of New York andNew Jersey discovered the vehicle outside Terminal C about 20minutes after it was stolen about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say they arrested a suspect in the patrol SUV heist. Hefaces charges of possession of stolen property, grand larceny andimpersonating a police officer.

Police say the incident remains under investigation.

They did not identify the officer who left the SUV idling andunattended.
