THE BRONX - A store on the Grand Concourse was giving away winter gear for free Sunday to help residents bear the freezing cold temperatures.

The store's owner, Fady Igbara, says that he was giving away over 200 hats, scarves and gloves to those who need them.

Igbara says that he usually sells the winter gear on a daily basis for $2-3 per item at the store located on 163 E. 170th St.

He says he felt the need to give the gear away for free after walking outside Sunday morning and seeing so many residents without a hat or a pair of gloves.
