THE BRONX - The latest blast of winter weather is over, but the borough is just beginning to thaw out from the ice and snow it left behind.

While the main roads are clear, the use of plows, salt and sand have left the roads with deep potholes. The potholes pose dangers to tires and suspensions on cars driving through the borough.

Several vehicles traveling on the Bruckner Expressway needed to pull into a gas station after massive potholes began blowing out commuter's tires.

The city is still working on the storm cleanup, including downed trees and power lines.

Motorists are encouraged to take extra care on the road.
