Straphangers Campaign releases annual subway report

THE BRONX - NYPIRG's Straphangers Campaign released its annual State of the Subways report today.

Some local lines received mixed scores. The ?2? line was ranked near the bottom due to overcrowding, while the ?5? line ranked among the best for understanding the conductor's announcements. The report said the ?6? line is the quickest, with riders only having to wait between two and three minutes for trains during rush hour.

Overall, the report found that Bronx subway lines have made significant improvements. Many commuters say they are happy no Bronx line made it onto the report's "most dirtiest" list.
