Straphangers riled by stalled 205th Street station escalator

Straphangers who use the 205th Street station to ride the 'D' train are complaining about a busted escalator that hasn't been fixed by the MTA.

THE BRONX - Straphangers who use the 205th Street station to ride the 'D' train are complaining about a busted escalator that hasn't been fixed by the MTA.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the escalator's power was turned off ahead of Hurricane Irene. When they turned the power back on, the MTA says it realized the sensor and a backup battery had broken.

A sign posted by the escalator says it should be working by Saturday. MTA Information
