THE BRONX - A group of 24 students from P.S. 94 competed today in a spelling bee contest.

The fourth and fifth-grade students advanced out of their individual classroom contest to the final round.

Fourth-grader Naushin Sakirah walked away with the title of Spelling Bee Champion. Coming in second place was fourth-grader Tahmid Miah and third place was fifth-grader Erica Vazquez.

Principal Diane Daprocida says it's great to see the kids so motivated.
