THE BRONX - Some fourth-graders from P.S. 382 spent the day learning about nature in Van Cortlandt Park as part of the City Park Foundation's Seeds to Trees program.

The program allows public school children to spend a day in the park with a nature expert to teach them about their surroundings.

One teacher said the program is a wonderful opportunity to get the young students acquainted with with environmental awareness and encourage them to be part of their surroundings.
