Students rally against cuts to CUNY colleges

THE BRONX - Students rallied today against cuts being made to CUNY colleges.

All CUNY schools were asked to make 5.4 percent in cuts from their budgets. Students say the cuts mean fewer teachers, reduced library hours and eliminated classes.

Students say enrollment has increased 43 percent over the last 10 years at CUNY colleges, while public funding has been decreased.
