THE BRONX - Dozens of John F. Kennedy High School students are rallying this evening in hopes of saving their school after the city's Department of Education (DOE) announced plans to restructure the institution.

Education officials say if their plan goes through, the school will be converted into two charter schools by 2014. Students currently enrolled would still be able to graduate on schedule.

The DOE plans to vote on the future of JFK High School Feb. 4.
