THE BRONX - Dozens of students from Theodore Roosevelt High School walked out of classes today to protest proposed cuts to their MetroCards.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has considered eliminating the free student passes. The agency says the cuts are necessary to close its $800 million budget shortfall.

Students say they may not be able to go to school without the free passes.
