THE BRONX - Increasing numbers of Bronx residents say they are choosing to stay in the borough to work.
A new study by the Center for an Urban Future shows that more people are opting to work in the outer boroughs of New York City. However, some commuters say transportation is not adapting to those changes.
Ivanna Avalos, who works at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, says her trip to work is more than a hassle. "If you put everything together, it would be like two buses and four different trains," she said.
The study also says there has been more than a 7-percent rise in job growth in The Bronx over the past decade.
