Subways running again after weekend suspensions

HUNTS POINT - Trains, buses and subways are up and running again after the storm hampered service throughout the weekend. All LIRR, Metro-North and subway service halted at noon on Saturday, and Westchester County Bee-Line buses were suspended by Sunday morning. However, despite the service improvements, Bronx residents say their commutes were busier than usual with long lines and overcrowding on platforms. The MTA provided free bus and subway service on Saturday, and temporarily eliminated tolls on all bridges and tunnels to alleviate traffic.
