Hoping to get the students involved and interested in engineering, the SUNY Maritime College program tasked kids with building a boat that would actually float.

THE BRONX - SUNY Maritime College is wrapping up its weeklong science, technology, engineering and math initiative with the moment of truth for kids enrolled.

Hoping to get the students involved and interested in engineering, the program tasked them with building a boat that would actually float.

The teachers say activities like these can set kids off on a successful career.
