Superintendent arrested in senior complex thefts

THE BRONX - A suspect is in custody, accused of stealing from more than half a dozen tenants at a senior complex on White Plains Road. The suspect, Irving Gill, is the superintendent of the building.

Police were able to connect Gill to the thefts after surveillance video showed him allegedly pawning jewelry at a nearby Pay-o-Matic. Residents of the senior complex say they're happy and relieved Gill has been caught.

Gill faces five counts of burglary charges, and is expected to be arraigned in criminal court within days.
