THE BRONX - Police have released surveillance video of a Bronx man being stabbed during a violent robbery in hopes of catching the suspect.

According to the video, Subryan Banggaroo, 60, was put into a chokehold by the suspect upon entering the lobby of his building on Intervale Avenue. The attacker then dragged the victim down the stairs, stabbed him multiple times and stole his cellphone.

The video shows a female waiting outside, who police say acted as an accomplice and lookout for the attacker.

Banggaroo says he got a good look at his attacker and describes him as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s. He's about 6 feet tall and was wearing a baseball cap and gray-hooded sweatshirt at the time.

The maintenance worker and father of two teenagers is hoping someone will turn the suspects in.

The NYPD is actively looking for the two people in the surveillance video.
