THE BRONX - One in two women say they have been sexually assaulted in the Bronx, according to a recent survey.
The group Alliance Against Sexual Assault conducted Project Envision in the south Bronx from January to May of this year. Volunteers surveyed 169 males and females in focus groups and street interviews. Fifty percent of those questioned said they've been sexually abused. In addition, 50 percent said they experienced sexual violence before the age of 15.
The group plans to make its findings public Saturday at the Bronx Museum. The free event is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
