THE BRONX - According to a new national survey, gas prices are on the decline just in time for holiday travelers.

One Sunoco station in Co-op City is charging $3.57 per gallon, one of the lowest prices drivers can find in the Bronx, according to NewYorkGasPrices.com. The consumer-driven website has the New York City average at $3.68 per gallon.

The Lundberg survey, released on Sunday, says the average U.S. price of gas has dropped two cents per gallon. The downward trend began two weeks ago after months of rising prices.

Despite the downturn, drivers should expect prices to rise again in the next few days due to wholesale gasoline prices increasing.
