THE BRONX - Cops need help identifying a man wanted for cashing another man's rent check.

Police released a surveillance image of the suspect, who they say altered the check and cashed it at a Citibank branch on Jerome Avenue back on Feb. 11.

A few weeks earlier, the 55-year-old victim had mailed in his rent check, but his management company never received it. The man checked his account and discovered that the check had been cashed fraudulently.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has other information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
