THE BRONX - Three of the four suspects involved in the shooting of an off-duty NYPD officer in The Bronx last week appeared in court today.

Officer Juan Pichardo was working at his family's car dealership in Williamsbridge when two men attempted to rob the shop at gunpoint. Pichardo was shot in the leg during a struggle, but managed to disarm the gunman. The second man fled to a getaway car where another two people were waiting.

The suspects have been identified as Jeffrey Okine, Rayshawn Jones, Tyquez Harrell, and Marquis Daniels. They are all facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, assault, burglary, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

The suspects were not formally indicted today, but may be at their next court appearance on Jan. 17.
