THE BRONX - The five suspects accused of shooting 15-year-old Vada Vasquez in November pleaded not guilty at an arraignment Friday.

Prosecutors believe 16-year-old Carvette Gentles, along with four other men who are reputed gang members, intended to kill 19-year-old Tyrone Creighton, but instead hit Vasquez as she was walking home from school.

All five suspects were charged with a long list of felonies, including attempted murder, assault, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The suspects are being held without bail on Rikers Island until their next court date March 12.
