THE BRONX - An SUV crashed into a storefront and bus this afternoon in the Bronx, taking down a pole in the process.

The accident happened just before 12 p.m. near Kingsbridge and Valentine avenues.

Witnesses say a man was driving down Valentine Avenue when he lost control of his SUV and jumped the curb. They say he slammed into a parked vehicle, hit a storefront and continued into an MTA bus.

The driver and a teenage girl were injured and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.
