Sweet treats for charity kicks off in Bronx

THE BRONX - Bronx residents can satisfy their sweet tooth and help out a good cause this week as the seventh annual Cupcakes for a Cause kicks off.

Proceeds from sales of the treats will go to CancerCare for Kids which raises funds to help children that are affected by cancer. Cupcake-makers nationwide will participate for the same one-week period, Sept. 20 to Sept. 26.

Residents can also design and send their own e-cupcake to family and friends. While not a real treat, sponsor göt2b is donating $1 for every e-Cupcake sent in September, up to $10,000.
