THE BRONX - Highly regarded as one of the best Mexican eateries in the borough, Taqueria TlaxCalli has a homemade touch that dates back generations.

Mexican immigrant Mauricio Gomez brings the flavors of Mexico to Bronx residents through tasty burritos and homemade guacamole.

The New York Times took notice of the restaurant last year, saying "a solid restaurant as good as Mr. Gomez's is always a happy surprise."

"We have the flavors of a family, of our great-grandmothers,” Gomez told News 12. “Every time that we cook, that we create a dish, we try to create it with love.”

His Parkchester restaurant is located at 2103 Starling Ave.
