THE BRONX - A Bronx market that a robber hit twice in two weeks is coming under new threats, the store's owner says.

Deshi Bazaar's owner says a man recently threatened to rob the store in a similar style as the first robbery. Police say the original robber laid out a black bag to steal cash and threatened customers and employees with a handgun.

Authorities believe the suspect has hit five stores in the area, a few multiple times, including a Gulf gas station a block from the Deshi Bazaar.

For now, the store is closing early. Once a 24-hour location, the owner closes as early as 9 p.m., which he says hurts him financially.
