THE BRONX - Some Bronx students received a valuable lesson on how to save their cash.

TD Bank is teaching kids at the Mott Haven Academy Charter School about money management, including budgeting and how to write a check.

Mott Haven is the poorest congressional district in the country, which is why teachers say its important to learn the basics of budgeting at an early age.

The bank also helped kickstart their savings by giving each student a $10 coupon to deposit when they open their first bank account.
