MORRISANIA - An event held in the Bronx Thursday was aimed at encouraging kids to pursue careers in technology.

The "New Faces of Tech Event" was held at the historic Bronx County Courthouse.

Top Bronx-based companies attended the event to teach kids to think outside the box and about the newest technology they could use to help their community.

The main goal of the event was to push kids in the borough to consider choosing careers in digital design and engineering.

"I think events like this are very important to just get the community interacted with things that might not be offered to them in school," said student Crystal George.
