THE BRONX - The teenager who shot and wounded a young Bronx boy was sentenced today to between 2.5 and 7.5 years in prison.

According to prosecutors, Eduardo Rodriguez opened fire in front of a bodega on Randall Avenue in Feb. 2012. The shooting is believed to have been gang-related.

Armando Vigo, who was 8 years old at the time, was inside the store and was hit in the shoulder by a stray bullet. He has since fully recovered.

Rodriguez, who was 15 years old at the time of the crime, was sentenced in Bronx Supreme Court on several charges, including attempted murder in the second degree, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
