LONGWOOD - Police say a teen was rushed to the hospital Friday after being struck by a car on Fox Street.

Police say the accident happened around 6 p.m. Witnesses say a group of kids was leaving a nearby after-school program. They say the kids were playing when the teen ran into the street and was struck by a grey Honda Odyssey. The driver remained on the scene.

The teen was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.  

Police have recovered surveillance video from a nearby home. They are hoping it will help determine how the accident happened.
