KINGSBRIDGE - The 17-year-old boy who fell from a roof in Kingsbridge while fleeing police earlier this week died in the hospital Saturday.

Police had approached a group that included Hakeem Kuta after reports of teenagers smoking pot inside the building at 2685 Valentine Ave.

When police confronted the teens, they say two of them, including Kuta, fled to the roof.

Kuta reportedly lost his balance and fell down into an alleyway between two rooftops.

Police say no arrests have been made, but they are searching for a friend of Kuta's who was also on the roof at the time.

The Internal Affairs Bureau is conducting a routine investigation into the situation.
