Teens set sail from Hunts Point in handmade boats

HUNTS POINT - Bronx teens who spent the last six weeks building homemade boats proudly launched them today in Hunts Point.

The Rocking the Boat program teaches kids nautical skills and environmental sustainability.

Executive Director Adam Green says the program lets participants create something to have a positive impact on their local environment.

The program is currently accepting applications for the fall.
