SOUNDVIEW - A tenant in NYCHA's Sotomayor Houses says water has been leaking into her apartment, bringing with it a foul smell and a bug infestation, since Sunday morning.

Mirium Masionet, who has lived in the apartment for almost 20 years, says the leak has introduced a moldy scent and a swarm of roaches in the day since it began.

She says the problem places her son at risk, who she says has autism and does not deal well with stress.

NYCHA says it is looking into the cause of the leak in surrounding units. The Housing Authority also apologized for the inconvenience.
