THE BRONX - Tenants in a Bronx apartment building say they are going days without heat and hot water after flames erupted in a first-floor apartment last Thursday.

Residents of 30-94 Villa Ave. say they've been struggling to stay warm as they continue to wait for their landlord and Con Edison to restore their power and gas.

News 12 The Bronx spoke with the managing agent who says he's working diligently to get power restored, including hiring an electrician and filing the necessary paperwork for repairs. He says he has been ignored by Con Edison.

A spokesperson from Con Edison says the electrician needs to file a certificate showing repairs have been made.
