THE BRONX - Two local organizations have teamed up to help feed Bronx residents in need.

The Momentum Project and BOOM!Health are working together to provide a number of social services through the Church of God of Prophecy in the South Bronx, which dishes out hundreds of lunches, dinners and food pantry bags every Monday and Wednesday.

The groups say that the Bronx is by far the most food insecure borough in New York City, and that it also sees the highest rates of diet-related illnesses.

In addition to meals, the organizations connect people with resources for medical care, counseling, housing placement, legal services and job training.
