The New York City Coalition Against Hunger holds 13th annual Serve-A-Thon
THE BRONX - The New York City Coalition Against Hunger held its 13th annual Serve-A-Thon today, where more than 100 volunteers helped out across the city.
Volunteers from the Good Shepherd Volunteers and the New York City Coalition Against Hunger visited Part of the Solution, or POTS, on Webster Avenue to feed the hungry today.
For the past 13 years, the coalition has held the event on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday to remember not only social justice, but economic justice.

The coalition is not only dishing out food, but is also refurbishing a soup kitchen and educating residents on federal assistance programs.
