The Secret to Her Success: From homeless to Harvard

THE BRONX - A Bronx woman hopes her miraculous journey from homeless teen to Harvard graduate inspires troubled teens to beat the odds.

Liz Murray was born on University Avenue to two drug-addicted parents in the 1980s, at the height of the crack epidemic, and would later find herself riding New York City subways until sunrise.

Murray says she ultimately had to make a choice and crammed four years of high school into two, paving the way for acceptance into the nation's most prestigious university.

She has documented her journey in the book "Breaking Night," a New York Times best-seller.
