ORCHARD BEACH - Orchard Beach went pink today for the 10th annual Make Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in the Bronx.

Thousands of people attended the walk this year, which also marked the 100th anniversary of the American Cancer Society. Among the walkers were breast cancer survivors and friends and family of those lost to cancer.

Organizers say they hope to raise $600,000 this year for breast cancer research.
