Thousands come out in the sunny weather for the Columbus Day Parade

THE BRONX - Thousands lined the streets of Morris Park today to watch the 35th annual Columbus Day Parade.

The parade honors explorer Christopher Columbus and the contributions of Italian-Americans.

Many watching the parade also enjoyed the warm sunny weather.

The parade's grand marshal was Dr. Joseph Scelsa, who grew up in The Bronx and now runs the Italian-American Museum in Little Italy.
