Thousands pack Yankee Stadium for cancer run

THE BRONX - Thousands of people turned out at Yankee Stadium Sunday, not for a baseball game, but to run to raise money for cancer research.

More than 4,000 people came out for the fourth annual Damon Runyon 5K.

The runners ran across the field, up stairs and around the stadium to complete the run.

Organizer say they eclipsed the $680,000 fundraising goal by more than $20,000.
