LONGWOOD - Tickets are being issued for sidewalks that have yet to be cleared of the snow and ice.

The sidewalk is an icy and slushy mess outside 896 E. 167th St. That's because the building connected to the sidewalk is vacant and boarded up.

The city has issued several tickets because the sidewalk has not been cleared. It's a frequent sight in the Bronx, as a recent analysis done by the New York Times showed the borough racked up 331 tickets at just 10 properties.

The tickets outside the building on East 167th Street have a maximum fine of $350 each. With more snow on the way, there could very well be more tickets issued.
