THE BRONX - Time is running out for the most inexpensive way to ship a FedEx package before for the holidays.
Today is the final day for standard FedEx shipping to ensure delivery before for Christmas, and workers are bustling to keep up with the influx in mail.
Many are also flocking to their nearest post offices. The U.S. Postal Service is calling this the busiest day of the year with an expected increase of 130 million mail items, in addition to its normal volume.
The absolute final day for holiday procrastinators who are willing to pay the extra cost is Dec. 22 by express mail.
