Toxic levels of lead found at P.S. 204

THE BRONX - High levels of toxic lead were found at P.S. 204 in two water fountains from which students often get a drink.

Education administrators for the school say they have shut off the contaminated water supply since students came back from winter break. In addition, bottled water and prepared meals are being served to students.

The Department of Health says it is redoing the pipes in the school. Parents say although there are no reports of lead poisoning, they are still concerened.
