THE BRONX - The NYPD is now directing traffic at a patience-draining intersection in the Bronx.

Traffic agents have turned up during rush hours at Boston Road and Pelham Parkway in response to demands for help easing the congested crossroads.

Councilman Jimmy Vacca joined frustrated drivers last week pleading with the Department of Transportation to help ease the traffic nightmare.

It's unclear how long the cops will be stationed at the intersection, and many say it's too soon to tell how much help they will be.
