Transit officer shot, wounded in the Bronx

(09/07/07) NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say a female transit officer was shot and wounded in the foot along with another person

(09/07/07) NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say a female transit officer was shot and wounded in the foot along with another person on West 176th Street near Jerome Avenue in the Bronx thisafternoon. The officer was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment. The shooting happened about 5:20 p.m. The officer's condition was unclear. So was the condition of the other person. Police didn't know the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
