A new interactive website is helping New York drivers track car crashes with the help of other local drivers.

Transportation Alternatives has launched CRASH stories, which allows users who see an accident to go online, mark the location and share their account of what happened.

The non-profit group says many accidents go unreported unless there's a serious injury or death, and it wants to get all crashes on the books. The goal is to help the Department of Transportation (DOT) make streets safer and get more traffic enforcement at dangerous locations.
