Travelers set out on busiest day of year

THE BRONX - Travelers in the Bronx are hitting the road on the busiest travel day of the year to reach their Thanksgiving Day destinations.

According to AAA, nearly four million people are driving in or out of New York for the holiday weekend. To alleviate some of the congestion, the city has temporarily stopped construction on all MTA bridges or tunnels until Monday morning.

AAA also urged caution on the roads and asked drivers to use E-Z Passes at tolls if they have one.
