THE BRONX - Looking to draw donations for the Salvation Army, a pastor and a minister from Tremont raised thousands by stationing themselves near one of the traditional red kettles for 24 hours straight and singing to those passing by.

Senior pastor Gerardo Balmori and minister Giovanni Coello say they raised $3,500 by singing ?Feliz Navidad? again and again, drawing generous crowds despite the cold weather.

Even though the two say their voices are a bit hoarse, they plan to do it again next year.
