THE BRONX - A hospital police officer hoping to clear himself of harassment charges will have to wait longer after his accuser failed to show up in court today.

Mark Lamb was arrested on the job at North Central Bronx Hospital in 2011, where he worked for 10 years. Lamb was charged with harassment, criminal mischief and gun possession after a dispute over scheduling with a supervisor. Union representatives maintain that the allegations against Lamb are false.

Prosecutors say Lamb's accuser recently received threatening phone calls and is concerned about the media attention surrounding the case. Lamb's attorney says his client has had no contact with his accuser.

The case has been rescheduled for Wednesday. Lamb says he is considering filing a lawsuit once the trial is over.

Calls to North Central Bronx Hospital have gone unreturned.
